Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

At Interim HealthCare, we are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping our students overcome speech and language challenges, enabling them to communicate effectively and participate fully in classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication skills of preschool-aged children.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech and language delays or disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' speech and language development in the classroom and at home.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff on strategies to facilitate language-rich environments and promote communication skills development.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and research in the field of speech pathology.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active SLP license in NH.
  • Minimum of 1 year of speech therapy experience, ideally in home healthcare.
  • CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of state health regulations.
  • Good clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, strong communicator, empathy, and compassion.
