Job Title: Newscast Director - Senior Production Manager

About Us:

CBS Austin/Telemundo Austin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our newscast team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing and technical directing assigned newscasts and productions.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and technical direct any assigned newscasts and productions, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery;
• Create daily graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Deko;
• Maintain the production studio and control room, ensuring all equipment is in good working order;
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution;

Requirements:

• Experience in directing and technical directing newscasts, with a strong understanding of production standards and equipment;
• Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including proficiency in Photoshop and Deko;
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew members while under pressure;
• Strong typing and spelling skills, with the ability to read and write fluently;
• College degree preferred, with experience in a similar role;
• Must be able to lift and position 40-pound lighting instruments safely.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
