Job Summary

UCI Health is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in the Radiation Oncology department. As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate operation of radiation therapy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients in the linear accelerator, NOMOS, and simulator rooms
  • Schedule and take port films on all patients, review results with physicians, and document findings
  • Operate radiation therapy equipment, automatic film processors, and quality control equipment
  • Accurately bill patients and notify physicists of any equipment problems
  • Maintain films and medical records, including purging of files

Requirements

  • ARRT/CRT certification in Radiation Therapy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation oncology procedures, radiation physics, radiobiology, radiation protection, anatomy, and positioning
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
