Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team at the Louisiana Department of State Civil Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing fixtures and piping systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, alter, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures and equipment such as water lines, sewerage lines, gas lines, steam lines, gas heaters, hot water heaters, water fountains, and steam cookers.
  • Repair and replace worn plumbing fixtures.
  • Repair leaking faucets.
  • Open clogged drains.
  • Inspect, repair, and make adjustments to piping and tubing connected to steam pumps, air compressors, water pumps, and heaters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of experience in pipefitting, steamfitting, or plumbing.
  • Training in the plumbing, pipefitting, or steamfitting trade will substitute for the required experience on a month for month basis.
