Job Summary

RQ Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Assistant Superintendent to join our Florida Field Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Superintendent in overseeing the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned construction work activities, employees, and subcontractors on a project jobsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Superintendent in ensuring the safe and efficient production of quality work, within project requirements and targeted budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate and direct the work of employees and subcontractors to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or concerns that may impact the project timeline or budget.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and other team members to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; college courses in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in a lead Foreman position, with a strong background in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction.
  • Three or more years of field or trade work experience in the construction industry, with a preference for government, military, or large commercial construction experience.
  • Computer literacy required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet; specific software literacy in Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, and Revit preferred.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable; LEED GA Credential desirable.

  • $75,000-$100,000 annually, depending on experience.
