The Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and dedicated K-5th ELA Teacher to join our team at IDEA Public Schools. As a member of our faculty, you'll play a critical role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages academic growth and social development. You'll work closely with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum-aligned instructional strategies and collaborate with parents to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of K-5th grade students
  • Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, adjusting instruction accordingly
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth and academic achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum-aligned instructional strategies
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure student success

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master's degree or higher preferred
  • Valid Texas teaching certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience in a K-12 setting, preferably in an under-resourced community
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
