About the Role:

At Fair Oaks Recovery Center, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional medical care and treatment to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Gather and evaluate client data in collaboration with the client, family, and healthcare team to inform treatment decisions.">
  • Assess and reassess the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of clients and develop strategies to meet their needs.">
  • Provide screening and medication management to clients served.">
  • Establish priorities in planning and organizing client care based on assessment findings.">
  • Participate in the formulation of the client Master Treatment Plan.">
  • Encourage family involvement in client care and respond to identified educational needs.">
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness independently or as part of a healthcare team.">
  • Collaborate with physicians and other staff to establish realistic outcome goals.">
  • Implement appropriate health care interventions using established guidelines.">
  • Review medical reports released under the facility's name for assigned clients.">
  • Provide guidance to clinical staff working with assigned clients to ensure quality care.">
  • Prepare discharge summaries for physician review.">
  • Call permissible medication to pharmacies under physician collaborative practice agreement.">
  • Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis directed by medical staff.">
  • Foster a culture of health promotion and disease prevention.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Masters of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required.">
  • One or more years' experience as an RN with the client population of the facility line of business required.">
  • Experience in prescribing basic psychotropic medications that would ordinarily be managed in a primary care setting.">
  • Clinical experience working with the client population of the facility; ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment, and client care.">
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license required, per state regulations/requirements, may also require a current DEA license.">
  • CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).">
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.">
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.">
