Medical Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Assistant to join our team at Owensboro Health. In this role, you will provide essential support to the nursing staff by performing various duties that contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience during their stay.
- Assist with patient assessment, collecting data for review by nurses and contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring complete and detailed records.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to identify physical, psychosocial, age-specific, and cultural considerations of each patient, tailoring care to meet their unique needs.
- Administer personal care according to organizational standards and policies, prioritizing patient dignity and comfort.
- Report any abnormal findings or concerns promptly to ensure timely intervention.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- No prior experience required, but SRNA certification (State Registered Nurse Assistant) in Kentucky is mandatory upon hire.
- BLS certification as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 90 days of employment is also required.
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity to perform tasks requiring precision and attention to detail.

Salary Range:$30,000 - $45,000 per year based on location and experience, plus additional benefits and bonuses.
