Camden Case Management is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mentor to join our team in Santa Cruz. As a Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health and addiction challenges in their journey towards recovery.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have experience working in the mental health, addiction, and/or coaching fields, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and empathetically. They will be responsible for providing support and guidance to clients, assisting them in developing life skills, and helping them achieve their reintegration goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide face-to-face weekly sessions with clients to support their recovery and well-being
- Monitor clients to ensure their safety and provide support as needed
- Conduct home visits to assess clients' living situations and provide guidance
- Assist clients with medication adherence and conduct random toxicology screens
- Provide support and guidance to clients in developing life skills, such as resume building, budgeting, and goal setting
- Engage in recovery-related activities with clients, such as exercise, meditation, and 12-step meetings
- Maintain ongoing communication with the case manager and document all sessions and interactions
- Experience working in the mental health, addiction, and/or coaching fields
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including weekends and holidays
- CPR certification and a valid driver's license
