We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineering Technician Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls.

Compensation: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for conducting tests and demonstrations using fire protection equipment. You will also assist in remediation of safety hazards in the workplace and maintain a good safety record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic and applied testing in support of company activities.
  • Read and interpret test plans, procedures, and drawings.
  • Assemble test items, acquire/procure test equipment, set up tests, run tests, collect data, tear down test systems, and perform other incidental tasks.
  • Work with data acquisition equipment to collect data, reduce operational and test data, and information.
  • Mentor Entry Test Engineering Technicians and assist Lead Test Engineering Technicians with large-scale projects.
  • Operate forklifts, perform housekeeping duties, and maintain laboratory notebooks.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Education and Experience: An Associate's degree in a technical discipline or one year of related experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and understand written instructions and write routine reports.

Mathematical Skills: Demonstrated understanding of basic math functions.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to type.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
