Job Summary:

As a Senior Emissions Technician at Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's vehicles meet stringent emissions standards. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and conduct emissions testing, including preparing vehicles, testing in controlled environments, and interpreting test data.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and conduct emissions testing, including preparation of vehicles and testing in controlled environments.

2. Maintain and calibrate emissions test equipment, including dynamometers, analyzer systems, and sampling systems.

3. Assist engineers in designing and developing test procedures for new products and recommend product improvements.

4. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of fuel exchange rooms and soak areas.

5. Coordinate and set up various vehicle or system tests in specialized areas.

6. Maintain high-quality standards and support continuous improvement of the organization.

7. Analyze and interpret test data, as well as evaluate and resolve complex problems.

8. Create and issue various types of reports as directed by management.

9. Drive forklifts, roll-back trucks, and other vehicles as required for hauling and shipping vehicles and parts.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Maintain various tools and equipment owned by the workgroup.

2. Coordinate stock of parts and supplies, shipping and receiving, and packaging used parts for shipping.

3. Represent the company for vendor/supplier business issues.

4. Assist with facilities duties, including repairs, inspections, and safety functions.

5. Perform any other duties assigned or required.

Requirements:

1. 10 years of related experience as an automotive test technician.

2. Practical knowledge of emissions testing procedures and emissions lab operations.

3. Associate's degree in automotive technology or equivalent. Education may be substituted for experience.
