Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Account Executive to join our team at IMA Financial Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading client relationships, developing strategic business plans, and driving growth through exceptional account management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management
    • Lead long- and short-term strategic consultation and planning efforts for client benefit programs.
    • Ensure programs and plan design align with applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze claims data and provide applied explanations to clients and internal teams.
    • Direct service teams' work assignments related to project management, claims escalation, and resolution.
  • Carrier and Vendor Relationships
    • Develop strong carrier and vendor relationships to support and lead negotiation and advocacy during client coverage placement and renewal processes.
    • Research current and emerging markets and products, bringing solutions aligned with clients' goals through continuous learning.
  • Production Partnership
    • Co-facilitate finalist and/or prospect meetings as requested.
    • Comprehensively develop and deliver prospect requests for proposals (RFPs).
    • Ensure scheduled compensation is received and properly executed.
  • Internal Resource
    • Act as a resource for other agency benefits staff throughout the benefits division.
    • Lead and participate in special projects and agency-wide committees as requested.
  • People Management
    • Coordinate and manage the overall work and projects of assigned associates, providing clear communication of expectations, established timeframes, regular progress updates, and annual performance evaluations.
    • Participate in the hiring process for direct reports and additional department hires as needed.
    • Serve as a mentor and coach for account executives as needed.
    • Provide feedback to service team members and their director supervisors as needed, supporting their ongoing professional development goals to ensure client expectations are met.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of similar or related experience required.
  • Demonstrates advanced business acumen related to strategy execution, interdependencies, and decision consequences.
  • Demonstrates a positive mindset and ability to optimize performance through collaboration.
  • Demonstrates consistent ability to adapt in stressful situations and develop strategies for improvements in organizational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrates advanced skills with MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrates strong ability and commitment to excellence in communication, both written and oral, through active listening, information sharing, and a focus on solutions.
  • Ability to attain and maintain Life and Health licensure.
  • 4-year degree in business or related discipline preferred.
