Job Summary

Community Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Director of Human Resources to play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the organization's talent and culture agenda. This is a unique opportunity to develop and execute strategic initiatives to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that supports the organization's business objectives, using data analytics to inform and refine strategic decisions.
    • Partner with executive leadership to drive organizational change and foster a high-performance culture.
    • Guide, support, and oversee the Director of Learning and Professional Development, Director of DEI, and Director of HR to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and operational excellence.
  • Talent Management:
    • Oversee the design and implementation of talent management programs, including recruitment, retention, development, and succession planning.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Learning and Professional Development to build leadership capabilities and develop talent across the organization.
    • Implement strategies to attract and retain top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Employee Engagement and Culture:
    • Work with the Director of DEI to develop and execute strategies that enhance workplace culture, inclusivity, and employee satisfaction.
    • Lead efforts to create an inclusive work environment that values diversity and promotes equity.
    • Champion initiatives that promote employee well-being and work-life balance.
  • Organizational Development:
    • Partner with business leaders and the Director of HR to identify organizational development needs and implement strategies to address them.
    • Lead efforts to assess and enhance organizational effectiveness, including structure, processes, and systems.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance organizational performance and agility.
  • Performance Management:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of performance management systems that align with the organization's goals.
    • Ensure that performance metrics are in place to evaluate the effectiveness of people strategies and initiatives.
    • Provide guidance and support to leaders in managing and developing their teams.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, working closely with the Director of HR.
    • Identify and mitigate risks related to people management and organizational development.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to support a fair and equitable workplace.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification or willing to obtain within 1 year.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful people strategies in a complex organization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align people strategies with business goals.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team, with a focus on development and performance.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

  • The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
