About the Role
The Senior Commercial Underwriter will underwrite new and renewal C&I and CRE credit requests, working closely with Client Solutions Managers and Relationship Managers to obtain credit approval and meet customer needs.
This role requires advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as experience in commercial underwriting/credit analysis, accounting, financial statement spreading, and cash flow analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business, industry, and financial data to identify key risks and develop credit recommendations.
- Prepare timely, concise, and accurate credit reports, including quantitative and qualitative rating elements.
- Monitor borrower financial performance and ensure compliance with loan documents and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with CSMs and Relationship Managers to offer insights into customer financial needs and provide guidance on loan structure and risk mitigation.
- May oversee the work of other commercial underwriters or credit analysts and provide training and development opportunities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- 7-10 years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience or relevant lending experience required.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to train and present to small and large audiences.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive total rewards package, including base wages and comprehensive benefits, with an estimated salary range of $76,603.59 - $109,433.70 based on location and experience.
