Aquatic Coach and Lifeguard

**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Aquatic Coach and Lifeguard to join our team at Joliet Parks. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching group, private, and semi-private swimming lessons to all ages and ability levels.

About the Role

• Teach swimming lessons and demonstrate swimming strokes and water safety skills
• Provide instruction on water safety topics and skills based on the swim lesson program curriculum
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic demeanor while teaching swim lessons
• Communicate with participants and their parent/guardian to update them on their progress
• Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents

Requirements

• Previous experience with swimming or teaching swim lessons is preferred but not required
• Must be over the age of 15
• Swimming experience required
• Lifeguard certification preferred
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required

Benefits

This is a part-time position with varied days and hours including evenings and weekends. The salary range for this role is $14-$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional aquatic environment with moderate noise levels. While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity.
