Customer Service Specialist

This is a full-time position mostly on-site at Dahl Consulting's office, with some travel required within the five-county region. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of administrative or customer service experience, excellent phone skills, and a strong ability to listen empathetically and problem-solve.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide exceptional support to our members, visitors, and guests. Responsibilities include:
- Responding to inquiries via phone, in-person, and email on a wide range of topics, including membership value proposition, new member information, dues and fees payments, classes, events, and meetings, Department of Commerce rules and regulations, Code of Ethics inquiries, and Minnesota Association and National Association services;
- Striving for one-touch resolution and problem-solving issues that arise using documentation and departmental resources;
- Providing friendly, calm, professional demeanor, de-escalating situations involving dissatisfied members, offering patient assistance and support;
- Utilizing technology to address member needs, collaborating with other staff and key stakeholders to support continuous improvement in customer service;
- Engaging in the organization's mission and values, collaborating with MAR staff by valuing people, teamwork, relationships, and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- At least 2 years of administrative, customer service, or call center work experience;
- Excellent phone skills, ability to listen empathetically and problem-solve;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; communicates with candor and care;
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong customer-centric orientation;
- Organized and detail-oriented;
- Technology skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook), prior experience with (or ability to learn) phone software, and prior experience with (or ability to learn) a CRM;
- Cultural fluency, understanding the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry and the workplace;
- Takes a solution-based approach to overcoming challenges and remains resilient;
- Ability to meet challenging situations and unsatisfied customers with calm and patience.
We offer an estimated salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including paid time off, holidays, sick leave, floating holidays, 401k matching, health insurance, dental insurance, eye insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
