Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting test results, acting as a team leader, and providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and report waived, moderately complex, and highly complex test procedures on patient specimens, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Provide clinical correlation of results, identify patterns of bias, and notify appropriate caregivers of critical values.
  • Act as a group leader by assisting other staff members in work duties, ensuring a smooth workflow in the department.
  • Maintain major automated equipment, perform required maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Train new employees and students in the department.
  • Perform required calibration and quality control procedures, maintain records, and ensure tests are performed within established parameters.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
  • Appropriate licensure and certifications, such as CLS:CA or MLS (ASCP).
