Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team at Airgas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic products in the gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop PCBs for electronic products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to specify components for efficient firmware design.
  • Conduct system functional tests and troubleshoot devices and equipment as required.
  • Communicate with board houses to ensure timely and accurate production of PCBs.
  • Prepare product drawings, schematics, and bills of material that meet project requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and provide ongoing support to ensure smooth production.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and testing hardware for embedded systems.
  • Experience with board testing and verification from board houses.
  • Knowledge of proper PCB and system-level design to prevent electromagnetic compatibility issues and ESD within RF/Embedded microcontroller antenna-based systems.
  • Expert knowledge of schematic capture software such as OrCad, Altium, or equivalent.
  • Experience with low-power wireless sensor designs, design for hazardous locations, and RF wireless communication technologies such as 4G, 5G, Dust, Sigfox, and LoRa.
  • Experience with basic firmware design in C, C++, Assembly, and experience with FPGAs and CPLDs.
