The Construction Contracts Specialist will play a key role in supporting the growth of a leading specialty contractor in the commercial and industrial construction industry, primarily focused in the Midwest region. This position involves overseeing the administration and negotiation of various contracts with owners and vendors, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Review, revise, and negotiate various contracts with owners and vendors
- Organize contract files and documents
- Conduct contract reviews and provide recommendations on legal and risk management issues
- Develop contract proposals aligned with organizational goals
- Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date
- Write contract letters and other communications
- Participate in meetings with project teams to assess contractual risks
- Analyze contracts for compliance with state and federal laws
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including project managers and senior executives
- 5+ years experience in construction contract administration and management
- Legal experience and/or knowledge of contract law is a plus
- Knowledge of construction operations and management is a plus
- Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced environment
