About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Equipment Technician to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet vehicles.

Job Summary

This is a highly technical position that requires hands-on experience with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty equipment. The successful candidate will have excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other fleet equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in our shop's records system
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic or in a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a fast-paced environment
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $26.00 per hour, plus a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and life insurance. Eligible new hires will also receive a $5,000 retention bonus.
