Job Summary

The successful candidate will partner with individuals across the business to drive process optimization, quality enhancements, and operational efficiency in our blown film extrusion processes. This role involves hands-on work, strategic planning, advanced data analysis, and leadership of Lean/Six Sigma projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Documentation and Standardization: Establish and maintain standardized processes, ensuring meticulous documentation of process parameters, experiments, and improvements.
  • Strategic Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the full value stream, aligning with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Advanced Data Analysis: Utilize sophisticated data analysis techniques and statistical methods to extract actionable insights, identify improvement opportunities, and drive data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Problem Solving Leadership: Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects with a hands-on approach, mentor teammates, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, NPD, Operations, and Quality to drive collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, on-time delivery, lowering costs, and improving overall efficiency.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and innovations, developing business cases with ROIs to integrate new methodologies and equipment to enhance productivity and quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide expert guidance to the quality assurance team, offering insights into root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Safety and Compliance: Lead safety compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: In Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in process engineering, with 3+ years in polymer extrusion (preferably blown polyethylene).
  • Skills: Proficient in Excel/MS Office suite, experienced with Minitab or other statistical software, and demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with others to lead peers.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
