Lead Autism Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Autism Therapist to join our team at the Guidance Center of Lea County. This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced professional to provide expert-level support and guidance to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and be able to implement effective behavior acquisition and reduction procedures. Additionally, they will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide ongoing supervision and support to behavior technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct ABA therapy to individuals with ASD, using evidence-based practices and adapting interventions to meet individual needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate behavior acquisition and reduction plans, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Train and supervise behavior technicians, providing regular feedback and coaching to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals and their families.
- Conduct assessments, including functional behavior assessments, to inform treatment planning and intervention.
- Maintain accurate records, including session notes, progress reports, and other documentation as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related human services field and certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with ASD, preferably in an ABA setting.
- Proven track record of implementing effective behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, with demonstrated expertise in ABA principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent bending, stooping, and standing.
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals and their families.
