Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team at Weltman Lighting LLC. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a key role in providing legal services to our clients and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with current clients.
  • Negotiate and Resolve Cases: Negotiate with individuals to achieve final resolution of cases, arrange legal settlements, and resolve routine issues.
  • Complete Required Training: Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and Experience: Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 1-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively and discreetly to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
  • Knowledge of Laws and Regulations: Knowledge of relevant laws, legal codes, legal/court procedures, precedents, and government regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (F.D.C.P.A.) and other applicable consumer protection statutes and regulations.
  • State License to Practice Law: Must hold a current, valid state license to practice law in Ohio (or passed Universal Bar Exam).
  • Professional Conduct and Ethics: Must practice according to the rules of professional conduct and ethical standards as required by the attorney's licensing state.
