Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

At Sierra Medical Center, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care and improving the accuracy of medical records. We are seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records to evaluate the utilization and documentation of acute care services.
- Facilitate appropriate physician documentation of care delivered to accurately reflect patient severity of illness and risk of mortality.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve documentation practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement education programs to enhance documentation skills and knowledge among healthcare staff.
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Education or International Medical Graduate.
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in an acute care setting; critical care, medical/surgical or Emergency Department nursing preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
