Job Description

As a Special Projects Manager at the American Heart Association, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of public health. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to oversee grant-funded projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate kickoff meetings, scope discovery sessions, check-ins, retrospectives, and after-action reviews to ensure project goals are met.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to support the development of new, culturally appropriate in-language stroke warning signs campaigns.
  • Communicate project statuses, blockers, deadlines, and wins to national, regional, and local Association teams.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure project deliverables are on strategy, on time, and on budget.
  • Invest in preliminary research and problem-solving to mitigate potential challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of project or program management experience.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget management, team accountability, and issue and risk management.
  • Basic analytics and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse, under-resourced communities.
