Air Methods is a leading air medical transport provider, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. We are seeking a highly skilled Helicopter Pilot to join our team.
CompensationThe successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $40,000 per year, plus an additional $15,000 sign-on bonus, as well as off-duty housing and other benefits.
About the RoleWe are looking for a qualified helicopter pilot with experience in flying Category 1 aircraft, preferably with commercial or military experience within the last 24 months. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with medical crew members, hospital staff, and the public.
Responsibilities- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
- Ensure aircraft and weather conditions are suitable for transporting patients and medical crew.
- Complete pre-flight checks and maintain accurate records.
- Commercial and Instrument Rating (for Category and Class of Aircraft).
- First or Second-Class FAA Medical Certificate required.
- At least 2000 total flight hours, with a minimum of 1500 hours in Category.
- 1000 hours PIC in Category.
- 500 hours of rotor wing turbine time.
- 200 hours of cross-country flight time, including at least 50 hours at night.
- 100 hours unaided night as PIC.
