About the Role:

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in Northampton, Massachusetts. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging services with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate all MR imaging equipment competently while performing high-quality procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
- Review medical records for patient history and glean pertinent clinical information, sharing it with radiologists as needed.
- Interview patients prior to MRI procedures, requesting the removal of metal objects hazardous to the patient and equipment.
- Position patients on MRI tables, select specified coils, and follow radiologist-specific protocols for imaging.
- Input required information into MR units, ensuring demographic and clinical information is pertinent and correct.

Requirements:

- Associate's degree required; registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required; MR registered or pending MR registration required within 18 months.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required; one to two years of MR experience and/or training required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
