Job Summary

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, you will be responsible for managing the planning and project management of procurement events for all Roswell entities. This role requires strong business and process guidance to internal customers, business needs analysis, total cost analysis, contract negotiations, supplier relations, and supply category management. You will also educate business owners within the organization on the RP and New York State procurement policies, establish a business case, business plan, and Return on Investment (ROI) on purchases. Additionally, you will negotiate total value with suppliers to include total cost, price, utilization improvements, and business terms. This role oversees Service lines including but not limited to Research, Clinical, Lab, Nursing, Perioperative Services, and Imaging. The salary range for this position is $103,784 - $127,830 annually, which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Manages the planning and project management of procurement events for all Roswell entities
• Provides business and process guidance to internal customers
• Conducts business needs analysis, total cost analysis, and contract negotiations
• Develops and implements supply category management strategies
• Educates business owners on RP and New York State procurement policies
• Establishes business cases, business plans, and Return on Investment (ROI) on purchases
• Negotiates total value with suppliers
• Oversees Service lines including Research, Clinical, Lab, Nursing, Perioperative Services, and Imaging

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or a related field
• Four (4) years of progressive supply chain experience including business analysis, negotiations, and category management
• Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or related certifications from the Institute of Supply Management or the Association for Supply Management (fka APICS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including pivot tables, vlookups, document change tracking
• Ability to influence others and possess business acumen and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of terms and conditions for contracts and purchase orders
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
