Overview

MSA Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time Engineering Technician II - Civil to join our team in Madison, WI. As a key member of our agricultural engineering and public works teams, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from design and drafting to construction observation. This is a great opportunity for those with a passion for agricultural facilities and a desire to learn and grow with our company.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize AutoCAD C3D CAD software to perform detailed drafting and design of civil and municipal projects, including plan preparation.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and QA Civil Engineering Plan Sets.
  • Perform detailed drafting and design of agricultural and infrastructure projects.
  • Complete redline revisions to plans.
  • Complete as-built or as-constructed plans and documentation.
  • Create plan and profile sheets.
  • Conduct construction inspections.
  • Perform computations, reduction of field notes, filing and retrieving prints, and running prints.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of industry experience required.
  • Prior CAD drafting experience required.
  • Experience working in the field required.
  • Prior experience with CAD Surface Modeling preferred.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a consulting environment on a team setting.
  • This position requires authorization to work in the United States.
