Medical Assistant Clinical Coordinator

The Clinical Professional - Patient Care Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between patients, physicians, and staff. This multifaceted position requires attention to detail, effective time management, and strong interpersonal skills. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, procedures, and follow-up injections; accurately documenting patient information; maintaining accurate records; and performing administrative tasks as directed by physicians or department managers.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting, Surgical Tech, or Practical Nursing Program
- Current Certification or Licensure with no restrictions
- BLS Certification
- Strong understanding of infection control, sterile technique, and basic health safety precautions applicable for work in a clinic setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to establish credibility with physicians, staff, and patients
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and situations
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and practice management software preferred

Others
- Must be able to stand for up to eight hours a day, bend, reach, squat, kneel, move, lift of patients and/or equipment up to 35 lbs.
- Work collaboratively to promote increase in clinic patient volume, assist MD's, department manager and marketing director with department needs
- Assist in fiscal management of clinic resources, including maintaining established par levels on regularly used supplies, minimizing unnecessary expenses and optimizing clinic efficiency.
