Medical Records Clerk Job Description

At destinationone Consulting, we are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records within a healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and file patient medical records efficiently and accurately.
  • Retrieve and process requests for patient information from healthcare providers and authorized personnel.
  • Input and update patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data entry to maintain high-quality patient records.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in medical records or a healthcare administrative role is a plus.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
