Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist II to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine to complex diagnostic MRI procedures, including common and special MRI exams of high difficulty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic MRI procedures, utilizing magnetism, radio waves, and a computer to produce images of body structures and provide insight into the chemical makeup of tissues.
  • Assess, identify, and respond to patient needs for adjustment or intervention to optimize patient care, image quality, and patient experience.
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians during diagnostic or special MRI procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers to ensure excellent customer service and promote a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure comprehensive patient care and adhere to MRI exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
  • Three years' experience as a MRI Technologist.
  • ARRT-MR - Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT) or ARM RIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist or CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
