General Manager, Stadiums and Arenas

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our Stadiums and Arenas Business Unit across North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing plans for the execution of all existing client contracts, managing costs, and developing revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a long-term Stadiums and Arenas strategy with senior management participation.
- Oversee multiple disciplines associated with Stadiums and Arenas business unit staff.
- Provide direction and oversight for Stadiums and Arenas leadership staff.
- Ensure the delivery of contract deliverables and business growth for clients.
- Guide the Stadiums and Arenas strategy for AXS by improving Account Management, Client Services, Sales, Marketing, Implementation, and Ticketing Strategy.
- Manage annual budgets, monitor and approve revenues and expenditures.
- Ensure departments are properly staffed and oversee the hiring process, employee development, and counseling senior staff.
- Negotiate financial deals with venues and promoters, participate in pitch meetings with the Sales team, and represent AXS as an industry expert at conferences and industry meetings.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 10 years of hands-on experience in the planning, execution, and management of live events within stadiums and arenas.
- 6 years of experience developing and managing senior staff, ensuring proper staffing of departments, overseeing the hiring process, and facilitating employee growth and development.
- 6 years of experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets related to stadium and arena operations, including revenue generation, cost control, and financial forecasting.
- Experience overseeing ticketing operations, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization for events within stadiums and arenas.
- Experience negotiating contracts and agreements to enhance operational efficiency and revenue generation.
