Senior Commercial Roofing Operations Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Roofing Operations Manager to join our team at Upson Company, a leading commercial roofing contractor in the Boise Valley. In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for conducting field operations of the maintenance and repair division while leveraging the latest electronic technology to communicate with customers and our office.
Salary & Benefits:
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary ranging from $29 to $40 per hour, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including employee health insurance 100% paid by the company, spouse/family health insurance with 30% premium paid by the company, dental and vision insurance after 60 days, 401K/profit sharing, company-paid smartphone, iPad/laptop, and vehicle, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and recertification opportunities for OSHA 10 hour course, Manlift, Forklift, and First Aid certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce projects on time and within budget
- Monitor and direct productivity of crew
- Set priorities, goals, and timelines for projects
- Communicate professionally and accurately about the project
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Manage workload and preplan equipment along with supplies
- Train and develop apprentices in the trade of Commercial Roofing
- Develop and maintain customer service with new and established customers
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass pre-hire physical and pre-hire drug screen
- Valid Driver's License with no restriction
- Must be comfortable working more than 6 ft off of the ground
- Carry out duties in varying outdoor climate conditions for extended periods of time
- Reach, lift, and maneuver supplies and ladders up to 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
- Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Minimum experience as a journeyman roofer for a period of 2 years
- Understand all major roofing manufacturer's warranty details
- OSHA 10 hour course/Manlift/Forklift/First Aid certifications (if not, Upson will certify/recertify)

- Possess accurate oral and written communication skills
- Follow company policies and procedures, OSHA, and applicable State and Federal laws
- Ability to listen, follow instructions, and learn new tasks
- Fluent in English
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish beneficial
- Produce quality work on an ongoing basis
