Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our home daycare team as a Daycare Assistant Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering children's intellectual, psychological, and physical growth in a nurturing environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design daily and weekly activities that cater to each child's unique needs and developmental stage. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with families and staff through Brightwheel, ensuring seamless collaboration and updates on children's progress.

The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, allowing them to efficiently prepare snacks and meals, provide basic care and caregiving activities, and evaluate children's development to ensure they meet milestones.

A strong understanding of child development principles is essential, as is patience, kindness, and a nurturing approach. Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider is highly desirable, and certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain open communication with families and staff on children's daily activities and progress.
  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate daily and weekly activities.
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks and meals.
  • Provide basic care and engage children in various activities promoting their growth.
  • Evaluate children's progress to ensure they meet developmental milestones.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and keep them informed about their child's activities.
  • Perform regular cleaning and disinfection tasks to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Participate in annual training and continuing education programs (20 hours) to enhance professional growth.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with children in a daycare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles.
  • Nurturing and patient approach.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • First aid and CPR certification (desired).
  • 18 years old or above.

Salary Range: $35,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
