Eli Lilly is a global healthcare leader seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to contribute to the development of scientific capabilities in the Global Patient Safety Pharmacoepidemiology group.

About the Role

This 2-year fixed-duration position offers an exciting opportunity to work with our team of experts and advance pharmacoepidemiologic science used at Lilly. You will establish comprehensive understanding of the Target Trial Emulation (TTe) framework, accelerating the production of high-quality scientific protocols, increasing the acceptability of real-world evidence for patient safety and regulatory decision-making, and contributing to the advancement of pharmacoepidemiologic science.

Responsibilities
  • Build internal expertise with the TTe methodology to drive adoption across the enterprise.
  • Establish comprehensive understanding of the TTe framework.
  • Accelerate the production of high-quality scientific protocols.
  • Increase the acceptability of real-world evidence for patient safety and regulatory decision-making.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD or DrPH in epidemiology or other subject with high epidemiologic content.
  • Strong research and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct epidemiology research, including preparation of study protocols and statistical analysis plans.
  • Competent in the independent analysis of data and interpretation of results from clinical and epidemiology studies.
  • Highly motivated to learn new techniques while continually pursuing research and publication goals.
  • Excellent computer skills; knowledge of SAS, SPSS, Epi Info, and/or equivalent statistical software package.
  • Strong analytic skills, oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and able to work independently and as a team member.
Benefits

This position comes with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
