Job Summary

Catholic Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Physician to lead our Obesity Management program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients seeking medical weight loss management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients for comprehensive evaluation to include medical history, medication use, psychosocial factors, and behaviors that influence a patient's weight history.
  • Perform lab and other diagnostic testing as indicated, and evaluate findings with the patient as appropriate.
  • Formulate diagnosis and identify medical needs based on the evaluation.
  • Recommend and design a treatment plan that may include pharmaceutical, nutritional, behavioral health, and exercise intervention.
  • Educate patients on the plan of care and coordinate with the multidisciplinary treatment team as needed.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the prescribed plan of care and modify treatment accordingly.
  • Develop protocols, treatment plans, and pathways to promote growth of the program and delivery of innovative patient care.

Requirements

  • MD or DO, completed residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • General inpatient and/or outpatient Internal Medicine or Family Practice experience, with extensive experience or fellowship training in Obesity Medicine preferred.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with ABOM certification preferred.
