Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Elementary Teacher to join our team at Franklin City Public Schools. As an Elementary Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth for students in grades K-5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students, incorporating data analysis and technology to enhance instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs, ensuring all students achieve academic success.
  • Stay current with curriculum developments and best practices in elementary education, applying this knowledge to improve instructional methods and student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives that promote academic excellence and social responsibility.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field, with a Virginia Teaching License and relevant certifications.
  • Proven experience in elementary education, with a strong track record of student achievement and growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds rarely, with regular adherence to established work schedules.
