We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bariatric and weight management, as well as experience in providing evidence-based psychotherapy and psychological testing for patients with cancer and other behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychological evaluations for patients under consideration for bariatric weight loss surgery.
- Provide brief, evidence-based therapy to patients pre-surgery and/or post-surgery who have psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, and/or eating-related disorders.
- Individual and group therapy for Active-Duty service members addressing weight management, motivation and behavioral concerns, eating disorders, body image, body dissatisfaction, and identity concerns.
- Provide evidence-based psychotherapy and psychological testing for patients with cancer and other behavioral health needs.
- Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program.
- APA-approved internship or residency.
- Active, unrestricted, current license to practice Clinical Psychology in any one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Minimum of two years of experience working as a Clinical Psychologist, with practice within the last two years.
- 5K Sign-on Bonus.
