About the Role

Bright Horizons is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our corporate talent acquisition efforts. As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to attract, engage, and retain top talent across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define the vision and strategy for corporate talent acquisition, aligning with senior leaders' staffing needs.
  • Innovative Hiring Solutions: Create and implement a roadmap to evolve the talent acquisition function, balancing short and long-term goals.
  • Team Management: Build and manage a high-performing, diverse team of recruiters. Collaborate with compliance, marketing, and HRIS to streamline hiring practices.
  • Candidate Experience: Enhance the candidate experience both online and on-site, increasing applications through our career website.
  • Social Media Expertise: Utilize innovative methodologies and technologies to source candidates via social platforms.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Advocate for and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring our workforce reflects our community.
  • Recruitment Infrastructure: Ensure the necessary infrastructure and resources are in place to support our employer of choice strategy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build confidence and credibility with hiring managers through excellent customer service and effective talent acquisition.
  • Employment Branding: Oversee corporate employment branding across various channels, including the company website, social media, and external websites.
  • Strategic Planning: Conduct regular recruitment planning sessions with key executives.
  • Executive Searches: Manage executive searches and support corporate recruiters as needed.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Provide weekly analysis and executive summaries of recruitment metrics, adapting strategies based on key insights.
Requirements
  • Location: Based in Newton, MA. Limited travel.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience leading staffing functions in high-growth environments, with a background in online staffing/recruiting.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and growing a team of talent acquisition professionals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to set and drive the 'big picture' strategy while also being hands-on when needed.
  • Collaboration: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Workday, job boards, social networking sites, and other computer systems. Familiarity with social media platforms and business applications.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for interpreting analytics and trends.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Customer Service: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Employment Law: Knowledge of employment law and Affirmative Action programs preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in multi-site service or education industries is a plus.
