Job Summary

As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to the Summit Surgical team in Voorhees. This role will involve compiling information, preparing reports, and maintaining patient flow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and other visitors, maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Screen and handle calls, ensuring HIPAA guidelines are followed.
  • Sort and distribute mail, and perform general registration and billing tasks.
  • Act as a liaison with Patient Accounting and Physician billing services, resolving billing and charge issues.
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation and reports, including productivity and financial reports.
  • Schedule management appointments, meetings, and conferences, and prepare meeting minutes and memos.
  • Assist in orienting new office staff, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and coordinate support personnel schedules.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in using computers, with experience in data entry, word processing, and report production.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use sound judgment to prioritize duties, and familiarity with department policies and procedures.
