Shift: 40 hours per week; Day/Eve, 8-hour shifts; primary schedule is second shift 2:30 - 10:30 pm, Monday
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; prior traveling experience preferred
License: Certification by appropriate body: ARRT Registries of Radiography (R) and MRI (MR)
Certifications: BLS (issued by American Heart Association)
Must-Have:
- Two completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years)
- Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology; bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred
- Permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of Madison
Job Description:
As a Radiologic Technologist MRI, you will perform technical imaging examinations and complex, specialized procedures using a wide variety of imaging equipment and systems. You will work independently with all patient age groups and varying locations. You will be responsible for maintenance and repairs, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. You will work collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules and to triage routine and emergent procedures. You may participate in the instruction of fellows, residents, physicians, and visiting health care professionals and may also participate in clinical research. Travelers are the first to float. The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on current staffing needs. If the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete the contract.
