Controller, Corporate and Americas Region Finance Leader

Delrin is a leading premium polymer business that values innovation and quality. We are seeking a talented Controller, Corporate and Americas Region to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in corporate and regional accounting. The role will involve providing accurate and timely financial reporting, preparing financial statements, and developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines and industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead a team of ~5 FTEs covering corporate accounting, and Americas region accounting including Plant Controlling at the Washington Works facility.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the accounting function.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
Ideal Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or chemical industry preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software (e.g. SAP).
  • Based in Wilmington, DE.
