Job Summary:

The Maintenance and Reliability Manager will be responsible for driving and promoting a safety culture throughout the site, including subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors. The role is responsible for ensuring the quality execution of preventative and predictive maintenance programs by conducting routine auditing of PMs and corrective work.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and promote safety culture within the site including subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Responsible for driving quality execution of preventative/predictive maintenance program with team including routine auditing of PMs and corrective work.
  • Developing and implementing programmatic methods to ensure safe operation and high equipment reliability/availability, cost-effective maintenance, continuous improvement culture, and regulatory compliance.
  • Administers programs, such as Thermography, vibration analysis, lube oil monitoring, for the site and regionally.
  • Performs/supports operational event and equipment failure investigations to ensure that the root cause/causal factors have been identified, corrective actions prescribed, and follow-up monitoring conducted as applicable.
  • Conducts program and system/equipment audits on a periodic and as needed basis.
  • Establish and monitor equipment reliability metrics and partner with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize work and improvements.
  • Develop/Improve maintenance procedures to streamline work execution, improve work quality, and deliver optimal equipment efficiencies.
  • Supports commissioning activities for all upgrades, renovation, and construction projects.
  • Responsible for ranking the criticality of the assets under their care and defining the proactive maintenance approaches that are cost-beneficial to the business.
  • Applying maintenance strategies and predictive technologies while optimizing a system's operational performance, life cycle cost, and payback.
  • Champion the development, technical assessment, and sustainment of a skills matrix for local maintenance team to leverage for work assignment.
  • Develop and maintain 'Key Performance Indicators' of equipment reliability.


Leadership:

  • Leads and is responsible for the execution of reliability excellence/maintenance program.
  • Writes and maintains reliability maintenance strategy documents.
  • Partner with local maintenance leadership for alignment on reliability standards and their role in execution of those standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge, documenting procedures, and promoting best practices to improve system reliability across the organization.
  • Create, deploy, and share best practices at facility and share with other sites.
  • Provide technical support on proactive and reactive work as required.
  • Own the inventory and maintenance planning program for the site.
  • Manage the Planning & Scheduling team to ensure the compliance and completion of local preventative maintenance program.
  • Identifies and implements predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Manages predictive maintenance program personnel.
  • Manages the CAD Department personnel.
  • Serve as the primary conduit for both upward and downward communication with the Central Reliability Team.


Financial:

  • Own budget tracking and support senior maintenance leader in delivering YoY cost savings.
  • Performs life-cycle financial modeling of developed technical solutions.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Marine, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or an appropriate scientific discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience including experience with mechanical design/testing, international quality standards, and predictive maintenance technologies.
