The McHenry County ROE Application Consortium is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Health Services Coordinator to join our team. As a critical member of our school district, you will be responsible for providing exceptional healthcare services to students and ensuring their well-being.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, with additional hours as approved by the Principal and Superintendent. You will work closely with certified school nurses, principals, and other school personnel to deliver comprehensive health services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of the health services program, under the delegation and direction of certified school nurses.
  • Run the health office, maintaining accurate records and adhering to District policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement health education programs, promoting student well-being and safety.
  • Provide first aid and medical emergency care, following IDPH and District 26 Health Manual Practices.
  • Monitor student health status, administer medication, and supervise self-care regimes as needed.
  • Counsel students and provide resource materials on health education, working closely with teachers and parents.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an approved school of nursing.
  • Current Illinois licensure as a registered nurse.
  • A current CPR card.
  • Hearing & Vision Screening certification preferred.
