Gerontology Specialist

HealthDrive seeks a skilled Gerontology Specialist to provide comprehensive care for residents in our sub-acute rehab and long-term care units.

We deliver on-site primary/post-acute care, behavioral health, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, and audiology services to residents in long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities. Our goal is to provide high-quality healthcare that directly impacts the daily lives of those we serve.

This role involves providing primary, post-acute, and preventative care to residents in both units. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
• Diagnosing health conditions and illnesses
• Proposing treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
• Prescribing medications
• Maintaining accurate records and schedules

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

• A Master's Degree from an accredited college/university
• A State professional Nurse Practitioner license
• Board Certification Required
• DEA/Controlled Substance License
• A valid driver's license
