Job Description


Overview of the Role

The Senior Training and Development Specialist position supports the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program (ATMP) contract at Fort Cavazos, Texas. This role primarily focuses on MILES training.


Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Assist customers with technical training in setup, installation, use, and deinstallation of MILES equipment and associated TADSS.
  • MILES Trainers: Travel to Army locations CONUS and OCONUS to train units and serve as MILES Contact Teams during exercises.
  • Austere Environments: Perform work outside in austere environments and inclement weather during day, night, and weekend periods.
  • Unit Configuration: Coordinate with training units to configure MILES and associated equipment to support unit training plans.
  • Adherence to Directives: Adhere to Company, Site Manager, and Section directives, memoranda, policies, and procedures.
  • Quality and Safety: Support quality/ISO, security, and safety training programs.
  • Equipment Management: Safeguard all assigned equipment issued by PULAU Corporation against loss, theft, and damage.
  • Cross-Training: Will be cross-trained to support other TADSS and may be assigned tasks to support other ATMP contract equipment on the installation.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Three years' past experience with U.S. Army training devices including MILES used in a military training environment.
  • Training Experience: Past experience with training U.S. military members in the use of training aids and devices.
  • Ground Tactical Engagement Systems: Past work experience with U.S. Army Ground Tactical Engagement Systems (TES) is desired.
  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • OHS Regulations: Must be familiar with national/state OSHA regulations, local EPA regulations, and HAZMAT processing.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel in CONUS and OCONUS; must possess a valid passport.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Government Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Government Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Licenses: Must possess a valid driver's license and Post driving privileges.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read and understand manufacturers' manuals or technical documents.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
