Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgical team during operations/procedures by arranging, inventorying, and maintaining sterile setups.
  • Pass items as needed to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment.
  • Prepare surgical suites, move patients, and clean the area as required.
  • Provide aid in exposure, homeostasis, and other technical functions to support the surgeon.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of technologist with proof of graduation or at least 18 months of experience as a surgical technologist in a hospital or surgery center.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write legibly and record information accurately.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire date.
  • Computer literacy and ability to participate in ongoing educational activities.
