The Role:
We are establishing a Level II pediatric trauma center at St. Lukes Childrens Hospital - Bethlehem Campus and are searching for a Pediatric Trauma Program Medical Director to help develop this new trauma program. The candidate will be critical in the development and success of this program. The pediatric trauma program will have the full support of the Networks Adult Level I Trauma Center at St. Lukes University Hospital - Bethlehem Campus.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversight of the development of new pediatric trauma program in conjunction with St. Lukes trauma team.Participate in trauma strategic planning and the development of new initiatives to grow services within the department.Participate in provider recruitment initiatives.In collaboration with service line leadership, evaluate the departments financial performance and identify initiatives to improve.Review and analyze quality and service metrics; develop and implement processes to improve.Participate in Network education events and training of new providers.About the Position
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery with a minimum of four years of experience in the care of the acute trauma patient and able to demonstrate outstanding clinical skills.
