Job DescriptionThe Sub-Section Manager for Lynn Thermal Systems Design is responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design and development of thermal systems related technologies supporting the Lynn Engine programs in the Defense Engines portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of engineers in thermal modeling, secondary flow modeling, and system design for engines in all phases of their product life cycle.
- Lead activities associated with budget/schedule, talent development, culture, and Lean.
- Communicate clearly and concisely to leadership within Engineering, Sourcing, and Supply Chain divisions and foster a relationship of mutual trust and respect.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in thermal systems design or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- 8+ years of experience in thermal systems design or related disciplines.
- Prior experience managing teams or large programs with multiple resources.
